Today is 5 November 2008. If you are in touch with what is happening in our world you will realize that this is the first day of the greatest change ever experienced in U.S. politics. I live now in Canada, but I am also an American by birth and I have duo Canadian and U.S. citizenship. How proud I am that I can say I have voted in this historic election – how proud I am that I can say I voted for Barack Obama.
This is very special for me for another reason. This is the first U.S. election I have been able to vote in since coming to Canada in 1968. When I became a Canadian citizen in 1976 – because of the U.S. regulations at that time, I lost my American Citizenship and was then considered an Alien. Finally in 2002 I learned that my U.S. Citizenship could be reinstated so I was very proud to re-take my oath of allegiance and it was like coming home again.
So here I am and it is my hope that I can share with you from this place at this time in my life on this beautiful planet Earth, at this time of my existence of my journey on this planet. I do not have an axe to grind, I simply have a life to share from time to time. So, let us begin.
